Consultations & home visits

Routine consultations are provided at Animal Medical Centre, six days a week.

The Consultation Process

During your consultation, your vet will discuss your pet’s medical history and any concerns you may have. They will perform a physical examination, as required and discuss any appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment options.

How long are consultations at AMC?

Routine Consultations:
Routine consultations are approximately 20 minutes, extended to 30 minutes for more complex conditions and first time visits with our experienced vets .

Extended Consultations:
However, every pet is different, we want to give you as much time as you need to discuss the requirements of your pet, so please let us know if you need longer. This can be useful if you are desensitising your pet to our vet practice.

Home Visits

Home visits are available if booked in advance, at an extra charge. In an emergency, it is in your pet’s best interest to be seen at the practice. Please note, we are unable to offer home visits out of normal working hours.
